There are fluids, motors, and fans within your system that all need to be working properly to keep the system in good shape and energy-efficient. The best way to make sure that all of these things are in good working condition is to have your system professionally inspected before you turn it on this season. A small issue like a motor that is not properly lubricated can lead to major problems for your heating system. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check the weather stripping and caulking around your windows and doors to make sure everything is as it should be. The weather stripping and caulking are the first things that block the cold air from coming inside of your home. If your insulation isn\u2019t in good condition, the cold air will come in and your heating system will have to work that much harder to keep the house cool. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Replace the air filter in your system. The air filter is designed to trap particles that are flying around the air. During the summer months, those particles are a\u2019plenty with things like pollen.
