This includes water, non-perishable food, and first aid <\/span>supplies.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Listen to the news for updates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Protect your vaccination records, and keep them in a safe but easy to access <\/span>location.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you need to evacuate, turn off your utilities. You can access the main power <\/span>switch and turn off the gas valve.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you live in or are visiting a flood-prone area, evacuate immediately.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>During the Flood<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your flood safety planning will change depending on if the flood is outside or inside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An outside flood safety plan includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moving to or staying on higher ground<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not walking or driving through flowing water \u2014 remember the phrase \u201cturn <\/span>around, don\u2019t drown\u201d<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following instructions from safety organizations and individuals<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inside flood safety plans include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you can access the electricity without stepping through the water, turn off the electricity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turning off the water source.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evacuating the premises.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>After the Flood<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just because the water is gone doesn\u2019t mean the danger is.
